On Wednesday November 25, the last Hard Times was held at The War Room. And afterwards creators David Richey and L.A. Kendall issued a closing thank you to all their fans.
From Hard Times comes great art! Hard Times was and IS an experiment a dream to create a club house for ALL the freaks! Our intention in creating this night was to have a meeting place every week where all the queers, rejects dancers, artists and freaks could come together and create community without pretension or judgment.
The last 6 months have been the most mind blowing, creative, hard, beautiful, messy, drunken, AMAZING 6 months ever! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
But is there an afterlife for this popular weekly hump day party. Looks like something is in the works for the second Saturday in January:
Hard Times is taking a seriously deserved disco nap! As with all great art Hard Times will transform re-create and rise again in the New Year January 9th 2010 so mark your calendars and stay tuned!
