The Human Rights Campaign Seattle has announced the date for their 8th Annual Bowled and the Beautiful Bowl-A-Thon. It is February 20, 2010 at West Seattle Bowl (4505 39th Ave SW, Seattle). I’m not much of a bowler but I really love this event because of the way they set it up, it really appeals to just about everyone.
Every year it pretty much sells out but it’s not too late to sign up, although I have been told that spaces are filling up fast. The cost is only $35 if you register more then a week in advance ($40 after). The cost includes two hours of bowling, pizza, soda and a one year membership to HRC. Your help is needed now more then ever with so many LGBT issues at the national level so why not get bowling and pizza while supporting HRC.
Sessions are the following: 5:30pm, 8:00pm & 10:30pm.
$35 per person, 6 people per lane.
Get five of your friends and be a lane captain.
The first session is geared towards families, the second towards everyone and the last session attracts the party crowd. A full bar is available and over the years West Seattle Bowl has learned to be well stocked before this event. This will sell out.
Here are a few pictures from 2008. It’s bigger and better every year.
