Seattle is one of Advocate’s 15 Gayest Cities in America

January 23, 2010• bySeattle Gay Scene

This is probably no surprise to anyone but the criteria they use in their complicated calculation puts us at a surprisingly low #10 on the list with places like Madison, Wis., Bloomington, Ind. and Iowa City ranking much gayer then Seattle.

But that’s one of the things we love about Seattle is the way the rest of America completely underestimates the culture and lifestyle here and gets completely freaky over the rain. After all, in two sentences they felt a need to mention that Seattle is the birthplace of grunge and gourmet coffee and how the gay scene is as “inescapable” as the Space Needle. Oh dear.

You will find the 15 Gayest Cities in America here.
