My Gay Seattle Weekend Calendar is overflowing with gay and gay-friendly events tonight. Last night there was so much more action than I would have expected on Friday night. This is partly due to Kathy Griffin’s sold out show earlier in the night, but also the grand opening of Unicorn, a special DJ at Pony, the glitter-laden hipster queers at The Eagle’s Fringe Friday, Comeback at Chop Suey featuring DJ Colby B’s return from her tour of the East Coast. And the popular DJ Harmonix at Cuff Complex topped off the night. Adrian Ryan from The Stranger newspaper is proclaiming it a “Gay Seattle Nightlife Renaissance!”
The gay Orca swim team was at The Lobby Bar but sadly without their Speedos. That place is still so gay (cross your fingers) and attracts a very diverse range of ages and people. From the very young to the older queers like myself.
Even Efren’s Caliente Latino Night at Neighbours Underground was packed as they went “Down Under” Australian style.
TONIGHT: Sylvia O’Stayformore’s Magnum Men at Rebar, DJ Joe King at Purr, DJ Harmonix again at Cuff, the goth zombies invade Neighbours Underground, a queer-friendly punkish concert at The Comet, DJ Amateur Youth’s Le Freak Queer Party at Wildrose, and more theatre tonight than you can shake a stick at. Whatever that means to you. Tonight there is too much happening so check out the Gay Seattle Weekend Calendar!
