Blitz, the Capitol Hill Arts Walk is Tonight from 5 to 8pm!

March 11, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

Yep, it’s the 2nd Thusday of the month so that means it’s time for Blitz, the Capitol Hill Arts Walk. Check out works by Corey Lewis at Bauhaus Coffee, Mina Best Loving at Babeland, Dana Peugh at Atlas Clothing, Erik Andrew at Caffe Vita, Stephanie Doll at Retrofit, a Bigfoot group show at ZAPP, Roy Powell and Greg Boudreau at Bluebird Ice Cream/Tea Room and dozens more at locations all over the Hill. You can party at Throwbacks NW/Gallery One which is located at 1205 E Pike St #1D and enjoy their “Vandals & Infidels” show with works by David Enriquez, dj’d music and plenty of hooch…or, close by, check out “Open Wider” an art show at The Hole on the Hill an arts space on the Hill which is being forced to vacate their premises this month. (They are located at 12th and Pike across from Boom Noodle; look for the big open doors and sidewalk sign.) They are featuring videos and installations by many local artists, photography by The Stranger photographer Kelly O and a DJ set by Officer O. (They also invite you to join them after the show for drinks at Pony.)Check out as many of these artists that you can.

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
