Don’t call it a “comeback”…because for six consecutive years their “bad ass queer shenanigans” at Chop Suey has drawn in loads of alterna-gays, indie queers, scenesters and gay hipsters (and those that love them) every single month with three of Seattle’s top DJs. Comeback! features the talent of three amazing residents; DJ Colby B, DJ Ponyboy (Porq) and DJ F*cking in the Streets (F.I.T.S.).
They’ve brought in bottles of champagne and erotic cupcakes to celebrate, and Comeback’s Sixth Anniversary will be featuring as special guests, those unconventional “Rude Dudes” (DJ Rad and Solomon, DJ) from Portland.
All Vinyl, they do what DJ’s call 1’s, 2 turntables and mixer, mixing into each other and always working the mixer, blowing through records at a mindblowing speed.
Playing every genre under the sun, from Electro and Bmore, to Hip Hop and Dubstep, House to Baile Funk and Kudoro, always bending genres and melding tracks for an insane ride.
Comeback tends to be slow before 11pm so they’re offering some really great deals ($3 wells and $3 drafts) including reduced cover ($6) between 9pm-11pm. If you are one who tends to show up fashionably late call it a pre-Comeback if you will.
Comeback in every last Friday including March 26, 2010 for their 6th Anniversary Party at Chop Suey, 1325 E Madison St. on Seattle’s Capitol Hill. For club info visit www.chopsuey.com.
