Guest Stars: The House of Aviance and featuring DJ Nita Aviance, Erickatoure Aviance and One-Half Nelson with resident DJs Porq and Colby b. Performances by Richard Kennedy (Houseofbadkids.com)
Last Fridays have never been sweatier! A long running staple in the Seattle nightlife scene, Comeback – on its 6th year – is still the place to be. Pride is no exception and is ALWAYS over the top. This years edition partnered with the legendary New York House of Aviance, will take it to a whole new level. This will mark DJ Nita’s third time taking over the decks of Comeback, Ericka’s first full performance and the Debut of One-half Nelson to our stage. There are no pre-sale tickets available for this, yet another reason to get there early. Cheap drinks, free photo-booth photos and a guaranteed spot inside give you no excuses!
DJ Nita (NYC):
Known to play on 3 decks or more, Nita bends the New York underground sound with the New World Beat to create his own, distinct voice in dance music. Influenced by the Legends of New York House music Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, and Timmy Regisford, Nita delicately interweaves the hardest of beat downs for anyone ready to lose their mind on the dancefloor.
Erickatoure Aviance (NYC)
New York City queen who dresses in outfits of her own styling; design that reaches for the sui generis in women’s fashion.
Aviance performs regularly in drag, “pulling shows” in six-inch pumps with lots of high kicks, full splits and the many skills she holds as a professional dancer.
One-half Nelson (NYC):
Outtake from Paper Magazines “A night in the life of…”
Nightlife personality One-Half Nelson is obsessed with his looks. From his signature handcrafted headpieces (“hats” are an understatement, darling) to his love of vintage frames and will-make-you-gag genderfuck ensembles, this designer, couturier, and virtuoso of the visual arts showcases on his own personal runway every weekend at Mr. Black (RIP).
Richard Kennedy (NYC):
Richard has been a featured artist in several legendary shows such as: Wicked, Fosse, West Side Story, The Who’s “Tommy” and many more – on Broadway and beyond. Having appeared on the stage all across the world in Paris, Vienna, Zurich, Sydney, Berlin and nearly every major city in the USA. After completing his 1st quarter century on earth, it was time for an artistic re-birth. Forming the House of Bad Kids, Richard started working with many artists and personalities to develop their world presence into something legendary!
Comeback Queer Pride XXtravaganza! is Friday June 25th at 9pm. Cover is $8 before 11pm, $10 after with $3 Happy Hour from 9pm-11pm.
