Mark Your Calendars: Huge Battlestar Galactica exhibit coming to SciFi Museum in October!

June 15, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

My future husband, Jamie Bamber…

Paging all Fanboys and Fangirls, the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum has just announced that Battlestar Galactica: The Exhibition is having its World Premiere in Seattle starting the weekend of October 22-24, 2010 and running through March 4, 2012 (REALLY?!?!? 2012?!?!? That’s a long show!) It’s going to include FX models of the spaceships, props, sketches, storyboards, designs, costumes and there’ll be films and interactive exhibits. OH, and this covers BOTH the original much beloved series AND the even more beloved recent SyFy re-imagining that filmed up in Vancouver B.C. AND, for the opening weekend, there will be a number of special events with some of BG’s most popular personalities…please, oh please let there be some demonstration of that very gay game they played on the original series…the one where they basically wore tiny underpants, a sports bra and some weird webbing and it vaguely resembled basketball and jai alai…best Future Sport EVER!

My ex-husband, Dirk Benedict in his sports bar and panties…

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
