Aaron M. must have been diligently watching our blog when he submitted the correct answer first to win the two tickets for Margaret Cho on Friday August 27, 2010 at The Paramount Theatre. We did the ticket giveaway this morning.
This show is certainly one the hottest things going on this weekend. There’s just a few tickets remaining for Cho so if you are not Aaron M., and everyone right now is probably wishing they were him, be sure to purchase your tickets for this Friday’s show soon. (And Karen H. you were just two minutes too late but good try).
For those that have already forgotten the question:
Margaret Cho’s infamous first encounter with television, “All American Girl” was a personal and professional disaster for her (though it gave her PLENTY of future material to work with in her act) but she DID get to work with some great actors on the show including the brilliant B.D. Wong, the out Asian-American actor best known for roles in OZ and Law & Order: SVU. Wong was axed from “All-American Girl” when it was retooled halfway through the season but a future “SVU” co-star of his soon became a semi-regular on the show playing a bartender. Name the actor/actress who went on to greater fame in “SVU”.
And the answer is….Mariska Hargitay!
(And no Owen V. it wasn’t Drew Carey)
Margaret Cho in Cho-Dependent is this Friday August 27, 2010.
