WHO doesn’t love Margaret Cho? (Oh,yeah…Tea Bagger types, bigots and d-bags…) The REST of us love the hell out of the sassy, opinionated, mouthy, smart, fierce actress/comedienne and not just because she’s ALWAYS been a big defender of the Queer community and out bisexual woman. We love her because she’s FUNNY AS HELL and puts on a helluva great show for her devoted and loyal fans…and, two of Seattle Gay Scene’s devoted and loyal fans are going to get the opportunity to see Queen Cho in person, this Friday, August 27 at the insanely beautiful Paramount theater in downtown Seattle for this stop in her world wide Cho-Dependent Tour, sponsored by the lovely folks at LogoTV…We’re going to give away TWO tickets today to the FIRST person who correctly answers the Trivia Question! (And, no, it won’t be like that complicated giveaway I did for the Gayla during SIFF with THREE parts…I won’t go through THAT particular form of hell, again…) So, it’s going to be ONE question and the first correct answer wins TWO tickets to the show…Are You Ready? Good…here we GO:
Margaret Cho’s infamous first encounter with television, “All American Girl” was a personal and professional disaster for her (though it gave her PLENTY of future material to work with in her act) but she DID get to work with some great actors on the show including the brilliant B.D. Wong, the out Asian-American actor best known for roles in OZ and Law & Order: SVU. Wong was axed from “All-American Girl” when it was retooled halfway through the season but a future “SVU” co-star of his soon became a semi-regular on the show playing a bartender. Name the actor/actress who went on to greater fame in “SVU”.
Email your answer to seattlegayscene@gmail.com. The first correct answer wins the two tickets to Margaret Cho…simple as PIE! And, we’ll announce the winners this afternoon to give you plenty of time to start preparing what you’re going to wear for your big night out on the town!
AND, a big thanks to LiveNation for providing us with the tickets for the giveaway! AND, for the rest of you who WON’T win the tickets, go to the STG (Seattle Theatre Group) website and BUY tickets for what is a pretty sure bet…I’ve never heard of Margaret Cho giving a less than fantastic performance in Seattle…we share too much history! Check it out!
