Review: Fashion First Fashion Show raises $50K for Rise n’ Shine!
The 7th Annual “Fashion First 2010” was held on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at Showbox SoDo. We were excited to be greeted at the door with a glass of Chateau Ste Michelle sparkling wine. The crowd was very ladies-who-lunch meet Real Housewives of Seattle! They were dressed in everything from jeans to evening gowns. Trends included colored tights, short shirts, and tons of sparkle!
The show had a good production value, but the fashions where lacking. We saw very little that would drive people into the stores. The show also had scheduling issues. It started almost an hour late. The auction was schedule for 20 minutes but took an hour. John Curley, of Evening Magazine TV fame, was the auctioneer. He worked the sold out crowd into a frenzy getting them to spend big dollars on the auction items.
