For those of you unfamiliar with the backstory behind, “for my wife…”, Kate Fleming (pictured) was a local artist who died after injuries sustained in her home in Madison Valley during the flash floods of 2006. Prevented by hospital staff from being at her wife’s side when she passed and facing obstacles while planning Kate’s funeral, Strong was motivated to become a political activist fighting for, and winning Domestic Partnership Rights for LGBTQ residents in our state. Ms Strong continues the fight for civil rights with her film and work with Equal Rights Washington. I urge you to attend tonight’s event and/or see this film which is now available for sale at Amazon.com. This is a definite, must see “Check it Out”.
