It only makes sense doesn’t it? A lightweight, pop culture “politician” gives the scoop to something as puff driven as her own ambitions. Ms Palin is a terrifyingly cliched monster straight from the pages of a potboiler novel. She’s not “real” about anything she says or does. (Sadly, she is very MUCH real…) Her bold declaration on an infotainment tabloid television program is both a sad indictment of the state of American politics, and the state of the media, as it is also a brilliant political move. Ms Palin’s fanbase WATCHES Entertainment Tonight; they take it as the Holy Gospel. Also play to your strengths. If the pixie delights of Katie Couric are too “hardball” for your welterweight intelligence, then drop down to the next level or two of the journalistic ladder. In reality, it might be best for the failed governor of Alaska to utilize the Weekly Reader and Highlights for Children as her political mouthpieces. Kids love talking to adults with smaller vocabularies than their own; makes the kids feel good about themselves!
