What’s with all the Zombie Love in contemporary society? We seem to be infatuated with the un-dead and their brain eating ways…don’t believe, take a look around. Movies, tv shows, flash mobs and even Jane Austin have gotten into the act lately. So, it’s no surprise that the Zombies have organized their own Puget Sound convention, they’re calling ZomBcon which is scheduled to hit town next weekend, just in time for Halloween. And, why shouldn’t mindless, moronic creatures of the night have their shindig? I mean, the Tea Party morons have them all the time and they’ve virtually taken over Alaska and most of the American South…
And, ZomBcon is a VERY big deal with some big deal celebrities coming to town and some major events. Obviously there will be a huge contingent from the classic film, “The Evil Dead” with several stars of that film, including Bruce Campbell and “The Ladies of Evil Dead” scheduled to attend. Iconic horror film/Father of the Zombie film, George A. Romero will be present, as well as actor Malcolm McDowell and writers, Chuck Palahniuk, (Fight Club) and Max Brooks, (World War Z). Several classic zombie films will be screened, including the premiere of the new AMC television series, “The Walking Dead”. AND, there will be a kickass Halloween party at Neumo’s on Friday, October 29 and a Zombie Wedding at EMP/SFM!
For tickets and more info, go to the website but keep your brain covered at all times…zombies have been known to prowl the Internets and suck your brains digitally…
