The vote was 250-175 and now the measure moves to the Senate to be voted. Only 15 Republican members voted “Yes” on the repeal. And, on the Senate side, Republican Senator Olympia Snowe (Maine) says she will vote to repeal DADT. But, there’s no firm time table on a Senate vote and with the clock ticking until the end of the 2010 legislative session and numerous pressing issues in the Senate, including authorizing next year’s budget and ratifying a treaty with Russia, it’s still not certain if the measure will come to vote in time before the session ends. And, Arizona Senator John McCain has vowed to fight repealing the policy.
