In a gesture that sounded a bit like Rachel conceding that she just couldn’t take it any more, she concludes the interview by saying, “To subject to life in prison, a relatively significant portion of the population of your country, because of that it’s more than your opinion, it is the thing that has made you internationally famous, and may be the thing ultimately that results with you being charged with crimes against humanity…”

This is why journalism needs more Maddow, and much less Fox. This man represents a clear and present danger not only to gay people in Uganda, but everywhere. Never dismiss the power of a few fools with a religious cause.
