Quite a few options for a Thursday night in January. Improve your networking skills by hanging with the Gay People in Seattle group at Garage Billiards on Broadway from 6pm to 9pm. (Maybe it’ll help you get a better job or a better class of boyfriend…) Same thing goes for the Ladies with the GSBA’s Women At The Top mixer going on tonight from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the beautiful new Courtyard Marriott Hotel located in the renovated Alaska Club Building in Pioneer Square. But, if you want to go, please register first by clicking on the link. And, obviously you won’t probably be looking for an upgrade in the boyfriend department…
If professional networkin’ ain’t your thing, then you can either head to pnk UltraLounge at Pacific Place for their weekly LGBTQ night with DJ Lady Jane. “pnk” is the new fab restaurant/lounge on the 4th floor of Pac Place, (same floor as the cinema) and it’s hot, hot, hot! (And, yes, the lower case is intentional…it seems to be the hot new trend in branding and frankly, as an editor, it’s bloody annoying…but the venue is delightful.)
For Hill side dwellers, you can check out the anniversary party at Unicorn, the circus train wreck themed club at 12th and Pike that’s kinda/sorta/frequently pretty gay and certainly very hip. They are turning one year old this week so come help them taste the rainbow tonight and raise a toast in their honor.
Finally, for folks living South of I-90, the same named LGBT social group is hosting their monthly mixer at Hooverville Bar in Sodo from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. It’s located at 1721 First Avenue South and the bar is better than ever after a nasty fire last year. Check it out, if you’re in that ‘hood.
