Stuff to Do. Kink/Gear/Bear Edition: It’s “Gear Night” at The Cuff and Bears converge on Lobby on Sunday.

Hey! Seattle Gay Scene isn’t all about drag, RuPaul, DJs, glitter and Glee! We like the rougher edged side of queer life, too! (At least in theory…we’re far too poor and vanilla to get too extreme…) Check out The Cuff tonight, Saturday, February 19 for “Gear Night”…come dressed in your favorite “gear”; leather, uniforms, rubber, fetish and get in free. (Without gear, men pay $5 and women pay $15…yes, it sounds sexist but it’s not. This event has had issues with too many “looky loo” women showing up and taking over the event. Part of us DOESN’T approve of this, but we also see their point…it’s a GAY, KINK night and not a show for the amusement of the curious.) DJ Matt Stands will be spinning and there will be demonstrations of tonight’s theme, “Impact Play” which we’re guessing involves some very physical contact, and we’re also guessing it won’t be TOO X-rated since The Cuff doesn’t need the Washington State Liquor Control Board getting on their ass. Sunday evening, the Bearishly inclined and their admirers can check out Lobby Bar’s new event, “Lobby Bear”. It runs from 4pm to 8pm and it’s not a fancy event; just an opportunity for Bears to hang out and mingle.
