For all the drinking and partying that occurs right on the Hill and beyond, perhaps it’s that time of year for a spiritual cleansing. Forward Together with Integrity is a three day religious conference for the LGBT mind, body and soul. Starting on Friday, March 4th with prayers at 8:30am and 6:30pm (you can drop in at anytime during the day) and at 10pm catch a late night movie/documentary, “For the Bible Tells Me So,” the story of God’s inclusive love for us ALL, featuring Bishop Gene Robinson.
On Saturday, March 5th continue your fast with prayer at 8:30am followed by a presentation at 10am by PFLAG’s Kathy Reim and GLSEN’s Bill Keating for “We are Blest! Knowing ourselves and Telling Stories”. In the afternoon you can catch two other presentations, “Challenges, Love, Forgiveness, and Healing”, presented by Lambert House and Hen Shulman. Marc Fredson, KSCARC, and Mo Lewis presents “Turn the Light On,” and finally “Knowing WE are the Beloved Daughters and Sons of God” with Henri Nouwen. At 10pm catch the Late Nite Movie: “Forgiveness.” Thomsen Chape.
The following day is the highlight of the entire weekend, a CONFERENCE: “Learning the Art of Conflict Resolution and Peacemaking,” with Larry Dunn from 1pm to 4pm at the Leffler House Living Room.
