An odd assortment of delights to choose from tonight. After a day of enjoying this lovely sunshine, you can sample the following bits of decadence across the Metro area…
It’s the final night for Three Dollar Bill Cinema’s spring film series, “Outlaw: Jean Genet on Film” and they’re ending on a high note: Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s final film, Querelle, based on Genet’s novel and starring iconic 80’s actor (and AIDS victim) Brad Davis. The very homoerotic story of a sailor in port, it features lots of sweaty sailor mens doing lots of sweaty sailor things (like each other) in a lurid, phallic-centric French seaport. It’s lots of lurid fun, albeit dark, lurid fun. It plays at 7pm tonight at Northwest Film Forum and we suggest you buy your tickets in advance…this is likely to sell out. There are a lot of Fassbinder fans out there.
AFTER the film, you can head to Pony for the Querelle/Outlaw after party for some nautical themed fun. You don’t have to go to the film to attend the party, but if you have a ticket stub from the film, you get a discount on a drink special. Also, if you come attired in sailor/speedo/yachting/scuba gear you’ll get a discount, too. No cover, the fun starts at 9:30ish and DJ’s Porq, Fist Fight and Up Above will be on hand. They promise:

Other options for your inner freak would include: LeFreak, the monthly dance party at Wildrose with DJ Amateur Youth. It starts at 9pm and EVERYONE is invited…it’s not just for the Ladies.

Or, for you South King County/Pierce County folks, or anyone in the mood to head down south and ogle some mammaries, you have the option of “4th Annual Best Breast in the West Contest” at Benchwarmer, formerly Swank, 24437 Russell Road in Kent. Frankly, this event confuses us since it’s so boob related but we’re guessing it’s aimed at our Lady Loving Lady friends, (and our Bisexual buddies) so if you love the boobage, it should be a night of titillating fun.
