This didn’t make it on the Weekend Calendar but it’s a lovely weekend entertainment alternative to all the booze-tinged events that tend to dominate lgbtq entertainment options…The 5th Avenue Theatre is hosting another sing-a-long event this weekend (Sept 7-9) and this time they’re focusing on……GREASE!
Yes, “Grease” is once again, the WORD, and the beloved John Travolta-Olivia Newton-John starring movie musical from the Seventies is screening at the gorgeous 5th Avenue Theatre this weekend with the added benefit that you can sing along with your favorite tunes. There’s also a pre-show costume contest so dust off your poodle skirt and leather jacket. All that, AND popcorn!
