Tickets are already flying out the door for the next series of nationally known drag queen entertainers coming to Seattle’s Queer Bar. Since we’re just crossing over the Solstice part of our year (YAY! Now, the days are start getting longer!) they’re calling it the Solstice Series.

More poo:

Capitol Hill’s Queer/Bar has been stoking fires and keeping the flames burning each winter season for some four years now.

The sanctuary for the queer community located in the heart of Seattle’s historic gay neighborhood is turning up the heat with its upcoming Solstice Series beginning January 8, 2022 and running through April 9, 2022.

“No one knows how to rouse a crowd and warm up winter like our Queer/Bar queens,” said Joey Burgess, owner and operator of Queer/Bar, Cuff Complex, The Woods, and co-owner of Big Little News. “Our stage is lit, hearts are light, and levity fills our space. You’d be hard-pressed to find a closer-knit community than our guests during the dark days of winter—or any season for that matter.”

The line-up includes:

  • January 8, 2022 ~ Yara Sofia
  • January 22, 2022 ~ Eureka O’Hara
  • February 5, 2022 ~ Kimora Blac
  • February 19, 2022 ~ Jujubee
  • March 12, 2022 ~ Trinity Taylor
  • March 26, 2022 ~ Tatianna
  • April 9, 2022 ~ Ra’Jah O’Hara

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
