Dolly Rocks Out

May 13, 2023• byMichael Strangeways

GAY GASP!

She’s such a smart cookie, that Dolly…she was very relunctant to be inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame last year pointing out she wasn’t a rock n’ roll artist. But, Dolly Parton IS a brilliantly asute woman so she agreed to it…then this year, she puts out an album with her singing nothing but rock n’ roll and partnering with legendary rock artists to do so.

ROCKSTAR won’t release until November 17th but there will be tracks released before then….it’s a 30 song collection (including 9 new songs) and Dolly partners with legends like Steve Perry, Steven Tyler, Pat Benatar, Peter Frampton, P!nk, Michael McDonald, Debbie Harry, Melissa Etheridge, Elton John, Sting, Nikki Sixx, Simon LeBon, Joan Jett, and Stevie Nicks not to mention more recent names like Lizzo and her goddaughter Miley Cyrus.

It will be the gift everyone wants in their Thanksgiving stocking.

The poo:

(May 9, 2023 – Nashville, TN) Global superstar and recent Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Dolly Parton, has joined forces with some of Rock music’s most legendary artists along with today’s biggest stars for her first-ever Rock album, Rockstar. The ever-evolving Parton teamed up with an all-star roster of musicians for the 30-song collection which includes 9 original tracks and 21 iconic Rock anthems. Rockstar is set for global release on November 17th via Butterfly Records with distribution by Big Machine Label Group and will be available as a 4 LP set (see HERE for an overview of available versions), a 2 CD set, digital download and on all streaming services.

“I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album Rockstar! I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”
