Exciting news for LGBTQ+ fans of Las Vegas…the gambling and entertainment mecca is about to get a gay hotel/nightlife complex on the famed Vegas Strip! Q Group Hospitality is putting the finishing touches on their rehab of a mid-century modern boutique hotel to create a very unique gay experience for visitors to Vegas.
Queen Las Vegas is set to open to the public in September of 2023 and will offer accomodation, dining, gambling and entertainment in a queer inclusive setting. It’s part of the vision from nightlife impresario Eduardo Cordova.
The new hotel will be part part of the Thunderbird Hotel resort occupying 28 rooms and hospitality/gaming space within the confines of the 100 room complex which was originally built in the late 1940s.

Cordova and his Q Group Hospitality will offer this upscale and unprecedentedly queer taste of art deco-inspired paradise which includes luxe indoor and outdoor spaces – including a restaurant and bar which will feature high-energy drag performances amid a giant disco ball DJ booth to evoke the party lifestyle while the girls, gays and ‘theys’ enjoy brunch or dinner service over a lineup of resident queens, delectable dishes, bottomless mimosas and vibrant craft cocktails; and a world-class nightclub featuring over 50,000 LED lights from floor to ceiling, plush VIP tables, a state-of-the-art laser system, nightly aerialist acts and more for an immersive party experience. Queen Las Vegas looks forward to opening to the public September 2023.
Additionally, Q Group Hospitality will soon begin renovation of 28 themed rooms and communal areas including exterior lounge areas, currently part of the Thunderbird Hotel originally built in 1948. The reenergized design will blend the property’s historically charming architecture with interactive activations like a tech-savvy hospitality approach that will incorporate self-serve check-in kiosks at the bar, eliminating the need for a traditional check-in and encouraging guests to spend time interacting. The contemporary refurbishment of the boutique hotel, which began in June, includes touches that complement vividly colored furnishings, custom murals and exotic wall treatments throughout. Upon completion, the remodel will offer Queen’s guests accommodations which feature fully themed suites with direct VIP access to the bar and nightclub.
Queen Las Vegas will host guests from around the world, the community, celebrities and tastemakers alike – providing a safe space for all to live out loud, proud and celebrate self-expression, inclusiveness and diversity.
Queen Las Vegas is located at 1215 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Queen Las Vegas’ restaurant and bar will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with nightly DJ sets starting at 9 p.m. Brunch will be served Saturday and Sunday from noon. Queen Nightclub will be open Friday through Sunday 10 p.m. until late. Hotel suite bookings to follow the grand opening celebration, slated for Fall 2023.
