Roople Comes To Town; Beloved Icon Has Book To Peddle

February 6, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

She’s headed our way! Well, HE’S headed our way because RuPaul Charles does NOT do media in drag…that costs EXTRA, hunty! The award winning mega diva herself is hitting the road this March to peddle the paperback release of her best selling memoir THE HOUSE OF HIDDEN MEANINGS (which is a terrific title by the way; always give credit where it’s due!)

It’s not a long tour but happily, for Roople fans, both Seattle and Portland are among the 10 scheduled stops on the North American Tour. Snap up tix quickly because they gonna go quickly…especially in Seattle since it’s at The Neptune which is big but not THAT big. The Seattle/Neptune gig is Thursday, March 13th…go get tix directly at https://www.stgpresents.org/events/rupaul-book-tour/

Mo’ info from the press release:

Live Nation Urban and RuPaul invite you to join the pop culture icon and international drag superstar on his book tour to celebrate the paperback release of the memoir, THE HOUSE OF HIDDEN MEANINGS (Dey Street Books).

Tickets for the tour are available today, February 6 beginning at 10 am local time. All tickets can be purchased at rupaulbooktour.com.

This isn’t the RuPaul you think you know.

If we’re all born naked and the rest is drag, this is RuPaul stripped bare. Allow your mind, body, and soul to be enveloped in RuPaul’s lyrically poignant stories on life, love, and finding your voice. During these special events, RuPaul offers fans a manual for living—a personal philosophy that testifies to the value of chosen family, the importance of harnessing what makes you different, and the transformational power of facing yourself fearlessly. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear RuPaul’s extraordinary story as told by RuPaul.

He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
