2nd Show Added To John Cameron Mitchell Screening Of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”

Well, I’m not at all surprised they added a second show to the upcoming screening of the beloved queer film classic, Hedwig & the Angry Inch at Seattle Theatre Group’s Neptune Theatre originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 15th. The event, part of the 25th Anniversary Tour of the film, not only features a screening of the popular film, but director/co-creator/star of the film and original iconic stage production, JOHN CAMERON MITCHELL will also be in attendance AND performing songs from the film afterward. There’s about two tickets left for THAT screening so they’ve added a second show to happen the day before on Tuesday, July 14th. I’m still confused why they just didn’t do this event at the larger (and, better, in my opinion) Moore Theatre downtown but maybe it has to with screening capabilities?

JCM is, of course, a beloved queer icon and he’s been to Seattle many, many times including a terrific show right before Covid dropped in 2020. He’s currently starring as Mary in the huge hit play Oh, Mary! on Broadway, through the end of April.
