Indigiqueer Festival Returns To Pier 62 On Friday

June 23, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

It’s become a beloved Seattle Pride Week tradition…the Indigiqueer Festival has been around since 2022 and it has the advantage of a gloriously beautiful home right on the Salish Sea! Yes, Indigiqueer returns to Pier 62 on Friday, June 27th from 1pm to 8pm with a full line-up of fantastic indigenous performers from the Seattle area and the Pacific Northwest. There’s also food, crafts, gorgeous scenery and it’s also free and family friendly! Oh, and, it’s an event by and for the Queer Indigenous community but everyone is welcome!

More info including performers at: https://waterfrontparkseattle.org/blog/event/indigiqueer-festival/

From the website:

Welcome to Indigiqueer Festival!

Set on Seattle’s waterfront at Pier 62, enjoy an evening of engaging and interactive performances, activism, and community with the seas, mountains, and city as your backdrop!

Natoncks Metsu will join as the food vendor. There will also be art vendors and workshops.

This festival is an opportunity for our community to come together in strength and celebration to build community and celebrate the amazing artists doing work in community.

Friends of Waterfront Park is honored to partner with @gatheredinthisplace to bring the Indigiqueer Festival to the waterfront for a fourth year!

This joyful event uplifts Native Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer LGTBQIA+ community through drag, music, dance, and vibrant connection by the Salish Sea. From Guma’ Ge’la to Cherri Bepsi, plus a stacked lineup of performers, the night honors identities and cultures that have thrived here since time immemorial. Come early for art workshops with Kariel Galbraith, Nychelle Schneider and Malia Peoples.

🗓️ Friday, June 27

Whether you’re here to dance, connect, or just soak it all in—this celebration is for you.

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
