Seattle Unicorn Staff Fundraiser Set For Neumos This Thursday Sept 24th.

September 23, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

Disaster struck at the hub of Capitol Hill’s LGBTQ+ community when an electrical fire at Post Options at 12th and Pike Street on July 30th caused enough damage to shut down Post Options for good and to cause enough water and smoke damage at the next door Unicorn Lounge to cause them to shut down for several weeks while repairs are made. That not only affects folks who enjoy visiting the Unicorn for food, drink and many live entertainment shows, (the majority of them drag shows including the very popular Mimosas Drag Brunch) but it also put over 40 people out of work while repairs are made.

Community members immediately swept in to create a GoFundMe for the Unicorn workers but now the community has gone a step further to put together a live fundraiser at Neumos, just a couple blocks down Pike Street from Unicorn, happening on Thursday, September 25th.

The event will feature many of the performers from Unicorn, plus other special guests. Advance tickets for UNICORN: BURN RELIEF FUNDRAISER are only $20 ($30 at the door).

Go to https://www.neumos.com/events/detail/unicorn-burn-relief-fundraiser-tickets-1145135 to snatch your tickets.

OR, if you can’t attend the show, donate to the GoFundMe at https://www.gofundme.com/f/unicorn-staff-fire-relief-fund
