There’s a lot of LGBTQ+ comedy that has been announced in the last few weeks…much of it isn’t happening for a few weeks/months but it might behoove you to snap up tickets while you can. We also need to note that the Crocodile has announced they’ll be closing their smaller two venues within their complex on First Avenue, Madame Lou’s and Here-After…both these venues hosted many LGBTQ events especially rising comedians so it’s a sad day when we lose two great venues. The Croc is saying they’d welcome a new partner(s) for their spaces to keep them open, so if you have the means to do so, poke’em!
Meanwhile, here’s some great comedians coming to bigger venues at Seattle Theatre Group venues, like The Neptune/Paramount/Moore in the new year, including major names like Margaret Cho…oh, and Fortune Feimster who is doing a big New Year’s Eve show at McCaw Hall as part of her “Takin’ Care of Biscuits” tour. I’ve already done a post about that show but you can still snag tickets for that at https://www.mccawhall.com/events/detail/fortune-feimster
Here’s the big comedy shows coming in the New Year!

The Paramount Theatre
Then there’s the inexplicable rise of MATT MATTHEWS, the gay southern fried comedian from Alabama who a few years ago, was a successful boudoir photographer of full figured straight gals, who also owned a small farm with his husband. Matt began doing hilarious videos of himself coping with farm chores and his naughty chickens and goats, while dressed in his bathrobe on TikTok and YouTube which took off to the point where he decided to try his hand at doing stand up professionally and now here he is headlining at The Paramount!

STG Presents
Mae Martin
Thursday, Apr. 23, 2026
The Neptune Theatre
The androgynously handsome heartthrob, comedian MAE MARTIN is rapidly climbing the success/fame ladder with a hit Netflix special, Sap plus a Netflix series, Feel Good, AND a Netflix mini-series Wayward. Not to mention their very popular Handsome podcast they do with two other queer comedy legends, Fortune Feimster and Tig Notaro. It behooves to check out their new stand up tour, Opossum at The Neptune this upcoming April (frankly, The Neptune seems a tad small for this big of a star…prove me right by selling it out!)
