With the depressing news about the passage of Prop 8 in California and with the aging demographics of gay couples, it has to make you think harder about being proactive in preparing for that inevitable final curtain call. What if the person you have spent your life with died yesterday? Where would you be today? Where would their other family members be? Who will make decisions for you and your loved one after your deaths?
Out & Equal Seattle invites you to attend this year’s final Professional/Personal Development Workshop. Joy Pothan from Evergreen and Washelli will be providing a presentation on end-of-life planning.
Despite what a FEW of the churches may be trying to tell you, your relationship IS worthy of being remembered. Our community faces unique challenges that the rest of the general population does not. Given our current legal issues, a will and domestic partnership may not be enough.
But are you prepared? Come find out on Wednesday, November 12, from 6-8pm. To bring a little levity to the subject, the workshop will be held in the balcony of The Chapel, located on 1600, Melrose Ave., Seattle. The workshop is open to all and is free of charge.
