Barolo is a new restaurant located in downtown right across from the Westin. Sure one may ask: “Why yet another Italian Restaurant in Seattle?” However, this one seems remarkably gay friendly and chic considering its downtown location, which is just outside the downtown shopping area and outside of gay-friendly Belltown. What stands out is the Happy Hour. Monday – Friday From 3 to 6:30 pm and 10 pm to close they feature 50% off the entire bar menu. $3.50 for a glass of red or white wine and $14 per bottle during Happy Hour. If you are staying at the Westin or Hotel Max during a weekday it is certainly worth a visit. The Seattle Times is doing their “new urban drinks” promotion all of September which features 1 Drink + 2 Plates for $15 and Barolo is participating.
