It’s back from the Dead…the divine ode to all things Seventies Inspired, the rock’n’burlesque live music/dance/visual cornucopia known as THE HOUSE OF THEE UNHOLY returns to Seattle’s favorite burlyque venue, THE TRIPLE DOOR for 10 shows beginning Wednesday, March 12 through Sunday the 16th. Paula the Swedish Housewife, (aka, creative director Paula Now) has resurrected most of the original cast and crew and the beloved 90 minute “explosion of ’70s mythology and sexually charged psychedelia” will once again bring druids, vikings, Hindu goddesses, and bumble bees along with 13 dance superstars (including Lily Verlaine, Waxie Moon, Indigo Blue, Inga Ingenue and Paris Original), three singers (Sarah Rudinoff, Jen Ayers and Zack Davidson) and 4 musicians (Andy Stoller, Ryan Burns, Darren Loucas and Mike Stone) together to weave a tale of delightful excess and spectacle.
It’s one of those shows that brings out hordes of ecstatic burlesque fans, so don’t dawdle when it comes to getting your tickets. Everyone in this show has a Fan Club! Plus, who doesn’t enjoy a stage treat featuring druids and bees? It’s very spring like!
Grab yo’ tickets over at The Triple Door website. There are two shows a night with the 7 pm show being 17+ and the 10 pm for the 21+ crowd. (The Sunday shows are at 5 pm and 8 pm). Doors for the first show open at 5:30 and the second at 9:30 (4 and 7:30 on Sunday). Food is from The Wild Ginger kitchen! (Hint: smart audience members at The Triple Door order TWO drinks at once, because once the show starts, it can be difficult to grab your wait staff’s attention!)
We’d go to this show for the terrific title alone, but the combo pack of fantastic design elements and the level of talent on stage make it a must see treat during The Ides of March!
