On Friday Feb. 20th HotMess had its 3 year anniversary at the War Room. The vibe was ALL party! The club was already packed by 11:30pm filled with red, black and silver balloons and the music pumping! With DJs L.A. Kendall, Julie Herrera, Mathematix and the fabulous return of DJ Colby B. The people really came out to support, as always a great mix of gays, lesbians, queers and some straight folks for good measure.
Billed as “Local ALL STARS” the night lived up to the bill featuring amazing live performances from the yet to be named local duo L.A. Kendall and Adraboo “People takin’ shit” super sexy disco beat with super hilarious lyrics such as “pullin’ up my spanx in the bathroom stall.” A supped up version of “Kiss My Ass” with added vocals came from Adraboo and their theme song HotMess that featured host DMoney rapping.
Hometown favorite lesbian rappers Team Gina delivered as always, pulling out all the stops with their cabaret inspired costumes and dance moves. The Guerrilla Go Go’s gave an inspired live “Happy Birthday HotMess performance. Bringing out a cake and cutting it in pieces to give out, slathering pieces all over themselves and letting the audience eat it off their bodies all to the New Young Pony Club’s “Ice Cream.”
AMAZING! We Heart HotMess, keep it up!
And it looks like HotMess is not waiting two months for their next event at War Room. Next stop for HotMess is Neumos on March 7th for a very special party. Will give you all the details about that party really soon so stay tuned.
