Even through the December snow, the last Bearracuda Seattle event was a huge hit! This Saturday there is NO snow in the forecast and they expect an even better crowd.
DJs Boyshapedbox and Fifty Pound Note are flying up from San Francisco to spin from 9pm-2am at Chop Suey on Saturday March 21, 2009. Bearracuda started in August of 2006 in San Francisco and was soon crowned “Best Club For Queer Men” in 2008 by the San Francisco Bay Guardian newspaper.
Kelly O. at The Stranger had this to say about December’s event:
I stumbled into Chop Suey during the last Bearracuda, right before the holidays. I thought I’d chanced upon some sort of bizarre Santa Claus training camp. All these big, bearded men, laughing, dancing, and holding their bellies. I’d drunk just enough jolly cheer that for a second or two I really did believe in Santa again. Or in Santa’s ability to transform Chop Suey into a magical world filled with only young and randy Santa wannabes. Then I noticed the leather chaps. Oh, and the big, hairy guy on the massage table.
Chunky visuals, tasty snacks and friendly guys await you at Bearracuda Seattle on Saturday, March 21.
If you get there before 10pm you pay a $5 cover and have a shorter wait. After 10pm you pay $8. After the dance, there is an after-Bearracuda Play Party at Steamworks Seattle.
Chop Suey is located at 1325 E. Madision Ave. on Capitol Hill.

Last time the music was good, the crowd was great and then came the $24 bar tab for 2 vodka cranberries. We promptly headed back over to the Cuff.
