Seattle has a new cabaret troope starting up, featuring a stellar all-star cast ranging from singers, to bellydancers, to burlesque artists, and yes, even world famous drag queens.
The show opens on Wednesday, May 6th at Amore Restaurant in Belltown. (2301 5th Ave. Corner of Bell St.) 7pm showtime.
Reservations are strongly reccommended.
Not only does the restaurant serve great dinner and happy hour specials, they also have a great theatre space that was built for this cabaret show.
Just when you thought you had seen it all. Be prepared for a classic feel to the vaudeville you once knew. Hosted by two time Tony Award Nominee Ryan Hazy, and featuring actress and singer Demene Hall whom has worked with many celebrities such as James Earl Jones, David Hyde Pierce, Faye Dunaway, Mr. Billy Eckstien, and many others. The 2nd act will open with the debut of Ryan Hazy explaining Wagner’s Ring Cycle in just 10 minutes time. If you thought you knew comedy, guess again. This routine is great. It has been re-mastered by Ryan Hazy himself to be more exciting and funnier for audiences of all ages. Originally it was done by British comedienne, Anna Russell. Ryan Hazy has taken her great work and re-done it to be more understandable to the modern audience.
The show will also feature such local artists as: D’Manda Lott, Sakinah, Lolita L’Amour, Jacqueline Hyde, and the bellydance goddess herself, Miss Ayla. Together along with Host, Ryan Hazy this troope is working to raise the bar in Cabaret performance in Seattle, Cabaret Magnifique will be giving other cabaret troopes a run for their money.
