Headlining Long Beach Pride but still not a lesbian...
There’s a rumor zipping around the Intertubes (that’s not about John Travolta’s hungry bung hole) but concerns the outing of rapper/actress Queen Latifah. The SandraRose website claims that the long rumored about entertainer outed herself as a gay woman, but the reality is a bit different. Latifah is scheduled to headline the Long Beach (CA) Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival on May 19th but has made no public statement that she is “out” or plans to come out during the event. And, as several commentators have noted, performing at Pride events doesn’t necessarily indicate any particular sexuality on the part of a performer…hundreds of straight artists have performed at Pride events all over the world.
Queen Latifah’s alleged and rumored about sexuality is one of the worst kept secrets in Celebrityville and frankly, we just wish she’d get it over and done with, but that’s her journey to make. In our opinion, the Latifah is one of those universally beloved types like Ellen DeGeneres and personally, we think she’d be just as popular regardless of the gender of the genitalia she likes to rub noses with…
