Billed as a “Gay” party, but they define it as “A Queer Party for Queer People.” With ten plus years of experience in the Nightlife/Club industry Creators David Richey along with L.A. Kendall started HotMess back in February/2006. And they achieved success right from the start pulling upwards of 400+ people.
“Our goal was to fill what we saw as a void in the Seattle queer club scene by having a dance party that featured an all female DJ line up with local & national underground Live performances.”
Inspired by a specific time in the late 70s to mid 80’s when artistry and inspiration met. Right before 80’s “Excess” was the norm. Different cultures and musical influences all collided for a moment in time to create what we call “Queer Culture.” B-Boys, Drag Queens, Straight, Gay, Black, White, Artists, Breakers, DJ’s, Disco, House and Hip Hop.
“We always strive to think and act outside the box.”
“HOTMESS” features Disco House, Electro, Hip Hop & Live Performances and has been tremendously successful over the past couple of years.
