The popular musical Chicago, is playing now but only through Sunday March 7, 2010 at The Paramount Theatre. The recipient of six Tony Awards, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer, played by Seinfeld star John O’Hurley. There have been many incarnations of Chicago over the years but this one is getting rave reviews.

So what I expected to be just another production of “Chicago” turned into THE production of “Chicago”. The alchemy of putting together a near perfect cast is achieved and has turned this into the best production of the show I’ve seen.
