Earlier in the day at Madison Pub things got really crowded. There was a line to go in and watch the Seahawks game in the middle of the afternoon (I warned you). Even the Elite was crowded in the afternoon with a pretty large party of people that had showed up to enjoy the game in the upstairs area.
By 9:45 PM Madison Pub had thinned out from its football crowd from earlier in the day but it still was quite happening with its usual pool and dart crowd. The place did not seem as crowded as other Saturday nights yet a long line formed soon after that.
By 11:00 PM Purr Cocktail Lounge was hopping. Not quite bursting as the seams but very crowded to the point that it was extremely difficult to get around. Purr is really making a statement about being “the gay place to be” Friday and Saturday evening before midnight. We went to three different bartenders and ordered our favorite Orange Drop and all three made it very different. The winner goes to the tall male bartender nearest to the door. At $10, believe it or not, their speciality drinks are well worth the price. And typically I order well drinks when I am out.
So after four consecutive weekends over a month of hot happening Saturday Night parties: One Degree Event’s ever popular Boy Bar (B-Bar) at the Baltic Room (Dec-15); a night for us in Vancouver, Canada (Dec-22); Hotmess at Neumos (L.A. Kendall has to be the hardest working DJ in Seattle and both Cazwell and Team Gina were crowd pleasers) (Dec-29), and the incredibly hosted ISH Party at the Baltic Room (beautiful crowd and super mix of hip music) (Jan-5) we decided this night we should call it a night at midnight. Yet Purr was still quite full when we left…
