“Rent’s” Jerick Hoffer and Ryah Nixon Spill Some Tea

There’s nothing more delightful than sittin’ down with talented young performers and shootin’ the breeze about life in the “thee-ay-tur”! (Well, actually there are…lounging on a warm beach; finding cute knick knacks in a flea market; making love on a warm beach after a day shopping for knick knacks…etc. But talking to actors is also quite enjoyable!)

Just before the 5th Avenue Theatre’s production of “Rent” opened, we invaded a rehearsal room in the bowels of the theater to have a little chat with two of the young and revoltingly talented young stars of the musical:  Ryah Nixon who plays performance artist Maureen and Capitol Hill’s very own megastar, Jerick Hoffer (aka Jinkx Monsoon) who’s offering his unique take on the character of Angel. We got to dish about ALL sorts of things related to the show…it’s juicy!
