The Racist Nature of Conservative Politics…

October 21, 2010• bySeattle Gay Scene

If you’ve ever wondered why, objectively, the American South has always seemed to be a haven for anti-progress, racist, pro-segregation, homophobic candidates and politics?

It wasn’t always that way. Here’s Rachel Maddow giving a little rundown of the history, and how this year’s election proves that the legacy of Conservative racism is alive and well.

Keep an eye out around the 8:10 mark for Sharron Angle’s amazingly obtuse, condescending view of her audience.

What’s the takeaway lesson? That there is still a generation of Conservative politicians who have absolutely zero idea of what America is all about. All they know is their very privileged white world. And these are the people who want to lead you.

They are dangerous. Dino Rossi is one of them. Keep them out of office.
