Our National Embarrassment Gets The Boot: George Santos Kicked Out Of Congress

December 1, 2023• byMichael Strangeways

In a heart breaking turn of events, out gay Congressperson GEORGE SANTOS has been officially expelled from the United States House of Representatives. In the third such vote since May of 2023, Santos, who represented New York’s 3rd Congressional District which covers much of Long Island’s wealthy North Shore, was expelled today by a vote of 311 to 114. 105 of Santos’ fellow Republicans voted to get rid of the embattled Santos who is facing numerous charges of mishandling campaign funds.

And, of course, the only heart broken by this act would be his own.

Bye, gurl!

Santos is only the SIXTH House member to be expelled in the 224 year history of Congress…which is pretty shocking considering all the crooks and scoundrels who have been in Congress over the years, including quite a few current ones. (We see you Lauren!!! We see you Matt! And, Marjorie! And….)

Which brings us to to saying “Yeah, we’re glad Santos got the axe; the fucker was a national embarrrassment especially for the LGBTQ community” but while also thinking his queerness was a factor in the decision to kick him out. Never mind the awful antics of some of his fellow representatives including ones who were part of the January 6 insurrection (which still hasn’t been adequately investigated by Congress…and, I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for it to EVER be properly investigated.) Let’s just dump the fat lying brown skinned queer guy and call it a day!

That said, George Santos IS a disgrace.

One of many.

Oh, and one other thing I’ve wanted to vent about…or, not so much vent as muse upon. George Santos represented the wealthy North Shore on Long Island. It’s the home territory of lots of rich folks including former Republican president Teddy Roosevelt and all sorts of famous nabobs including…

Jay Gatsby. The self-invented anti-hero of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic 1925 novel about a nobody who lies, cheats, and connives to remake himself into the Toast of New York. Until it all comes crashing down. Poor Jay Gatsby was a chump who didn’t deserve his fate (shot dead in his swimming pool) and the same can’t be said about George Santos.
