So much Joan Rivers love lately. Her widely acclaimed documentary, Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work was released on DVD this week (and the ad for it was popping up like crazy for a couple of days on SGS) and she’s also coming to our neck of the woods in February. Just in time for V-Day, our Miss Joanie will be headlining a show at Snoqualmie Casino’s Ballroom on Saturday, February 12 for one show only. Sounds like the ideal Valentine’s Day date night for you and your significant other…or, your BFF…or, some random Joan Rivers fan you met on Manhunt.
And, just five days later, on February 17, another gay icon will pop up at the Snoqualmie. Legendary “Cuchi Cuchi” gal and Seventies Camp Idol, (not to mention a seriously respected flamenco guitarist) Charo will be on hand to enthrall her legions of fans. Television hasn’t been the same since The Love Boat went off the air and we could enjoy numerous appearances from our favorite Latin Bombshell. But, we still treasure her cameo appearance in The Concorde: Airport 79! The lady IS a living legend…and, she looks damn good for being “officially” 59 (and never mind that pesky birth certificate that keeps popping up that has her being 69…) She is still awesomeness personified!
