This has got to be the best monthly gay event in Seattle. (But keep that on the down-low) The mix of DJs and music is beyond expectations. You come in expecting this or that, but they mix it up enough where no one’s disappointed.
The crowd seems to know what to expect and the porn’s so classic and unusual it’s down right mesmerizing. When I was there last month a group showed up on stage in scuba gear, this month they sported safari and animal customs. The promoters swear that they do not put these hotties up to this and that they coordinate it themselves. The “backroom” at Chop Suey advertised $2 cans of PBR that only cost $3.
Icon, and master of the bar that was formerly known as Pony, Marcus Wilson, was in attendance sporting the most fabulous mustache I have ever seen. If you have the opportunity to come to Seattle on the last Friday of the month I would recommend stopping by Chop Suey for Comeback.
This is unlike any other event you will find in your own town outside of Seattle.
I’m a big fan of Comeback (especially DJ Colby B), but I was sorely disappointed this night. Not only did Colby B have to stop right when the crowd was coming in, but she had to hand it over to the very poor styles of DJ FITS.
DJ FITS does not know how to DJ at all, and seems unable to mix one song with another. Instead it comes out sounding horrible, and confuses the people on the dance floor when they are dancing to one beat and immediately have to change tempo to a completely different beat.
Also, the live performance of some young guy who cannot sing really soured the night for myself and my friends, and we had to immediately leave.
I hope one day Comeback comes back…to a fun night!
That is some valuable feedback about the event Schnarf78. Please keep it up!
I would also mention that the promoters may have had their hands full that night with the cops saying certain nude posters were illegal.
I heard about that! Such a shame. Is that all they can find the time to do, is censor posters in a private establishment? Would they not be more productive patrolling the streets and keeping TRUE crime in check?
