Lusio. A Night to Awaken is a free, family friendly, one night only festival of light and sound set on top of Seattle in Volunteer Park for all to enjoy.

30 + light art installations of all shapes, sizes, and formats are curated directly into nature to explore.
Enjoy kinetic LED sculptures, video projections, analog light shows, delicate glowing textiles, kaleidoscopes, live performances, infinity mirrors, crystal caves, and so much more.
See if you can see it all in under 3 hours!

A musical showcase sponsored by DEPTH Seattle will begin the night at the amphitheater with an opening ceremony by Cyanwave performing live, modular/synth ambient and dub techno sounds.

PARADE OF LIGHT TOUR!

Be part of the Lusio festival by coming dressed in your most glowing attire! Meet up at the Lusio booth at 9pm to be in the parade that will stop at every installation. A “docent tour” of light 😀
Don’t have anything glowing to wear? Stop by the Lusio booth and score some sweet glowing gear from BrightCostumes.

This event is FREE AND FAMILY FRIENDLY.

Got those spinning LED’s moves you wanna show off? Bring your LED poi, hoops, and other glow toys to the amphitheater area! We set aside this space left of the stage just for you to play. This also helps ensure no little ones will get bopped with spinning toys.
*no fire toys or high powered lasers allowed*

Want a drink and a break from the lights? Head inside the stunning Volunteer Park Conservatory for Lush Sounds 2!
Lush sounds is a 21+ fundraiser for the nonprofit that supports the Conservatory. Lush Sounds 2 will feature drinks, dancing, and music by Jason Justice.
*Lush Sounds is NOT free and not part of Lusio but is happening simultaneously in the park*

“How to experience Lusio?”

Lusio is meant to be playfully experienced in 2-3 hours and is FREE family-friendly, open to all, and for one night only.
Be prepared to wander and explore the corners of the park to find the art living under trees and in the gardens. Lusio is fully intereactive, family friendly, community driven event so participation is key!

**Playfully**
Show up around 7:30 to grab a spot on the lawn in front of the amphitheater for optimal relaxation. Got a crazy glowing outfit to wear? BRING IT! Dress in your most glowing, LED, light up attire to get into the spirit and contribute to the whole atmosphere! Wrap your dog in L-wire and let your kids wear all the sticks they can handle. Bring your LED hulu hoops to show off those hoopin skills.

**Thoughtfully**
Please help us leave the park as pristine as we found it by picking all all trash, using the proper recycling bins and not smoking on park property. You know what to do Seattle 🙂

Please no fires, fire spinning, vending, sound/speakers or rude behaviors. Pack it in, pack it out and/or use the trash receptacles provided.

A years worth of curation and planning go into every detail of Lusio including the location of piece and ensuring the safety of our guests.
