The Nightmare Emporium – Horror Film Anthology
October 24, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 12:00 am
This Halloween season, Central Cinema is hosting Seattle’s first annual NIGHTMARE EMPORIUM: an anthology of short horror films produced by local filmmakers.
In the spirit of Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow, The Nightmare Emporium is a collection of dark stories based on objects found in a curiosity shop. Filmmakers have chosen an artifact from a selection of oddities hand-picked by the mysterious and sinister Shopkeeper, who has spent decades building a collection of strange and terrible relics.
At 7 PM and 10 PM on October 24th, at Central Cinema, the Shopkeeper will satisfy your thirst for the macabre, presenting attendees with a glimpse into the bizarre and terrifying history of each item. Filmmakers have been tasked with creating a short film that details the horrific events in which their item played a part. Other than a few lines of introduction, filmmakers have full creative freedom to tell the stories they wish.
Those of you brave enough to make it to the end of the evening will be rewarded with the chance to walk away with the Shopkeeper’s most treasured rarities…
We assume no responsibility for mind-shattering fear, loss of soul, or possession by spirits (alcoholic or otherwise).
Costumes welcome.
$10 / $12
