Tonight, Friday January 28 is your chance to check out Seattle Opera’s amazing production of Rossin’s The Barber of Seville for a great price. It’s the official LGBT Night and they have a great $100 package for our community, (regular ticket prices are in the $166 range; yes, great opera is pricey…but worth it!) I saw this opening night, and loved it, (read my review here) and tonight is also your chance to check out the dreamy tenor Nicholas Phan in the leading role of Count Almaviva, (read my interview with him, here.)
And, it’s not too late to book tickets to the Bravo! Club’s Winter Ball and Auction to be held Monday, January 31 at Teatro ZinZanni. If you’re not aware, Bravo! is the Seattle Opera fan club for younger opera enthusiasts, aged 21-39. Every year, they hold a ball and auction to raise money for Seattle Opera’s Young Artists Program. Here’s the skinny on the event:
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the silent auction begins! Enjoy performers and yummy treats under the exclusive big top of Teatro ZinZanni; then savor a live performance by our very own Young Artists at 8 p.m. Come and steward the future of opera!
