Vigil tonight at Westlake Plaza for the Victims of the Tucson Massacre.

January 13, 2011• bySeattle Gay Scene

A chance for Seattle residents to pay their respects to the victims of Saturday’s Tucson shootings:

Subject: Vigil for the Victims of the Tucson Tragedy is tomorrow (Thursday Jan 13)
At 7:30 pm on Thursday, Jan 13, the Seattle Vigil for the Victims of the Tucson Tragedy will be held at Westlake Plaza in downtown Seattle near the corner of 4th Ave and Pine St. We will stand together as a community, send our thoughts and prayers to the victims and families of this senseless act, and unite as one to say that violence against those with whom you disagree is never acceptable.

Local elected officials and community leaders from across the political and religious spectrum will be in attendance and participate in a brief program. The program will start promptly at 7:45 pm.

All are welcome, and candles will be available. We encourage everyone to dress appropriately for Seattle weather.
