We’re still waiting for OUR cha-cha heels…and the Divine documentary.

July 20, 2011• bySeattle Gay Scene

Richard Bernstein's gorgeous cover for Interview back when Interview was fun and relevant (meaning when Andy was still around...)

This trailer for the upcoming documentary film, I am Divine has us very excited…I mean, what self-respecting homosexual DOESN’T adore the groundbreaking drag superstar/actress/icon. For that matter, what self-respecting arty, liberal person of ANY persuasion not worship the Divine One? She is LEGEND!

And, this doc must have a hefty budget…they licensed a lot of expensive images and music…John Williams’ Superman score does NOT come cheap!

Sadly, we have to wait a year before we see the actual film…it’s still in production. Maybe it’ll be ready for SIFF which occurs right before Pride Season but we’re guessing more likely the SLGFF in October of 2012.

Can. Not. Wait.
