I haven’t listened to the whole album yet, but so far I’m really liking the new Scissor Sisters’ album “Magic Time”…it’s a big improvement over their last album, “Night Work” which was a little too head trippy for my taste.
The Sisters have just released their 2nd single/video from the new album, “Baby Come Home” and while the song is only ok, the video itself is colorful and funny. (Frankly, I prefer their first release, “Only The Horses”…better song and artier video, if not a bit enigmatic…) Still, we’re treated to the Sisters in various kooky costumes and animated bits and for once, lead guitar/bassist Del Marquis gets more airtime on this video which we approve of…he’s the unsung Sister, in our opinion.
Tickets are still on sale for the Sisters’ visit to Seattle on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 with opening act, Rye Rye. They’ll be at The Paramount Theater for one night only and it’s coinky dinky during Gay Pride Week so why not start off the festivities with the gayest band in the world?
